This community center
is built to allow education about
New Orleans history. The children’s
library is designed to be inviting for
younger kids, and the coffee bar and
multiple work spaces invite people from
the community to engage with this information in ways they otherwise wouldn’t. Community rooms allow events to be held
to promote involvement from groups. Design elements such as a map shaped bookcase and seating based on the topology of the Mississippi river help to define the goals of the space.
